The Blue Mountains Accommodation and Tourism Association (BMATA) has taken the reins of the destination's premier tourism publication, Blue Mountains Tourist.
 
Established by the late Harry Hammon in the 1970s and published as a quarterly magazine by Scenic World ever since, Blue Mountains Tourist has become a leading destination marketing platform that has helped to inform and inspire visitors for decades.
 
With over 200,000 copies distributed to targeted locations from Sydney to Lithgow each year, the magazine positions the Blue Mountains as a world class tourism destination and plays a leading role in promoting local businesses to visitors from near and far.
 
While the masthead will remain the same, BMATA has big plans for the magazine, with more in-depth articles and fresh content to become a permanent fixture. Readers can also expect to see more articles from contributing writers and updates from local businesses.
 
The magazine will support BMATA’s extensive efforts to promote the Blue Mountains to visitors in Sydney and beyond.
